Message to uTheres

Dear uTheres, thank you for joining me here.

Imagine walking into a hotel; people standing or sitting comfortably in The Hall, engaged in light conversation, discussing of sport or politics; or simply listening.

Please, join them if you like.

Then you get invited into a room and with other uTheres you start talking about what interests you more.

Or you pick a new subject, enter an empty room and leave the door open. Send invitations to other uTheres and see who responds.

Or none of this. Just say what you have to say, spray it on The Wall and then wait for a response. Or run away if you prefer so.

The core idea behind it all, is that sometimes it can be easier to open up to a perfect stranger rather than to people closer to you.

With uThere? people who do not know each other can talk. It could be just small talk between strangers or the confession of a very intimate secret to a person that you will never see - and, most importantly, they will never see you.

This way people do not feel judged and feel free to express themselves.

uThere? is more than a chat app—it's a platform built on trust and genuine connection, where anonymity becomes a feature, not a limitation.

Surely some people will lie, pretending to be who they are not. In some cases, this must be accepted, because this is also a way of expression; in other cases, this attitude should be repressed and the person banned, if the intention is to damage others.

Personal details should not be available through the app; perhaps even gender should be hidden. It would be then entirely down to the uTheres the decision to share sensitive info with other users.

No pictures can be exchanged for now; only words, written, shouted or whispered.

One day, you might just need a safe space to vent, clear your head, or find emotional support during a tough moment. uThere? connects you with a listening ear when you need it most.

Just open uThere? and shout: “Hey, anybody there? I need to talk!”.

“Hi” somebody replies from the other end of the app.

Or open the app and offer your ear to someone.

Four AI personas can sit in any room with you. Each has its own character, and each is called in — or kept quiet — by typing a few characters into a message.

@Funny
humorous and playful — finds the light angle
@Helper
practical and helpful — one useful next step
@Sweet
warm and kind — a gentle word
@Listener
empathetic and supportive — hears you out

@Funny(or @Helper, @Sweet, @Listener): Type a persona's name in any room to invite it in. Once invited, it answers every message in that room.
non@Funny: Silences that one persona for that one message. Nobody is removed from the room — the next message is answered as usual.
non@AI: Silences every persona in the room for that one message, whoever is in.

A persona also remembers the last few things you told it in that room, so you do not have to start again every time. Personas never reply to each other, and you can slow them to every third message — or pause them for a while — from the AI menu above any conversation.
