Terms and Conditions

uThere? is operated by Daniele Saita, still on Saturn, but will move to Earth soon. You can reach us at admin@uthere.app.

You must be at least 16 years old to be a uThere. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your nickname, so keep your password to yourself.

Other uTheres only ever see your nickname, never your email. You can also post anonymously, and then not even your nickname is shown. Anonymous is not the same as untraceable: we still know which account a post came from, and we will use that if we have to act on a report or a legal request.

Your words and your voice stay yours. You give us the permission we need to store your posts, voice clips and their transcripts and show them to the uTheres you shared them with — nothing more. You can delete your own posts, and deleting your account removes them.

Voice rooms are ephemeral by design: clips live only while the room does, and a room stays open until whoever opened it closes it.

The Content Policy is part of these terms and says what is not allowed. In short: no harassment, no hate, no sexual content involving minors, no encouraging self-harm, no spam, no impersonation, no scraping, and nothing illegal where you are.

Posts, messages, voice transcripts and room names are screened automatically, and uTheres can report anything. We may remove content, close a room, restrict a nickname, or end an account. When we remove something you will be told what rule it broke, and you can appeal it from inside the app.

This is important. uThere? is not therapy, medical care, or an emergency service. Nobody here is on duty. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line — the app shows one when it may be needed. Listeners are uTheres, not professionals.

We may change, pause, or stop parts of uThere?. We will give notice of significant changes to these terms in the app, and if you keep using uThere? after that, the new terms apply.

You can delete your account whenever you want. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts other uTheres at risk.

uThere? is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other uTheres say or do, for lost content, or for indirect loss. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's law.
